Banned Books Week Banner

We all need to be familiar with the books being challenged, since I'm guessing you'll be surprised to discover some of the titles that have been the target of censorship attempts. This poster is amazing!

NOTE ADDED 4/3/08: I found this banner while I was becoming familiar with Flickr, and I felt compelled to add it to my blog. Be sure and notice the comment I received from the Dayton Library!

Thanks for linking to our banner/flag. It's hard to believe that so many great, even classic, books can offend people so much. So we just try to get the word out that its OK to be offended and have your opinion, but it is important to let others form their own opinions as well.

Eric,
Thanks so much for your comment. I am a new blogger, so it was exciting to hear from you. Thanks for allowing me to link to the banner. I have been overseeing the ProQuest/SIRS Texas Intellectual Freedom Award for the Texas Library Association since 1995, so needless to say, I feel strongly about banning books!

I want to add that I really like your Buddy Icon.

Isn't it thrilling to have someone look at your blog and notice what you have done.
